Over the past year, District 5 Zonta members have assembled 300 Days for Girls kits to send to women and girls in Liberia.
The newly-assembled kits were given to District 5 Service Chair Keri Dunn. Dunn spoke at Area Meetings about her recent trip to Liberia and what she learned on her trip about women with obstetric fistula. During her trip, she delivered supplies for Days for Girls International, which focuses on women and girls having access to feminine hygiene products.
Dunn will take the new batch of kits on her next trip to Liberia in early 2018. The kits will be given to women in Liberia in the hopes that they will encourage girls to go to school instead of staying home when they are on their periods.
