Z Club members advocate for young women

Members of the Zonta Club of Seoul III-Nam Seoul, District 32, and Z Club members visited the National Assembly and met Congresswoman Nam In-Soon to appeal the modification of the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse.

Z Club members, along with Area 1 President Unna Huh and Congressman Seunghee Yoo, also held a flash mob dance to deliver the message to stop sexual violence against girls. The flash mob was meant to spread this message in a unique way. Two local newspapers covered the event.

The members also distributed 1,000 fans that were decorated with a message that read “Protect young girls on the street who are under the threat of sexual violence."

Additionally, they displayed banners and signs with information on the status of runaway girls. The members hoped this information would support changes they hope to see to the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse.

Following the events, members sent petitions to Minister of Justice Park Sang-ki regarding the juvenile protection act.
