Zonta Club of Adelaide Inc celebrates 50th anniversary and Zonta's Centennial

The Zonta Club of Adelaide Inc, District 23, celebrated its 50th anniversary, Zonta International's Centennial Anniversary and 125 years of women's dual suffrage all during one event.

The club held a lavish dinner in the Town Hall, courtesy of the Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide, with His Excellency, the Governor of South Australia Hieu Van Le as an honored guest.

As part of the proceedings, the biannual Adelaide Zonta Women of Achievement Ceremony honored  Emeritus Professor Rhonda Sharp for her work on developing gender responsive budget initiatives  and social policies in South Australia. Also recognized was Flavia Tat Nardini, a rocket scientist who is aiming to launch 100 NAN satellites into orbit to provide a whole new level of internet and Erin Phillips, an Australian former professional basketball player, an Australian Rules footballer for Adelaide in the AFL Women’s competition, and currently a Dallas Wings director of player and franchise development.
