Zonta Club of Kauai hosts event to help low-income women exposed to domestic violence

The Zonta Club of Kauai, USA, members completed a hands-on sewing project for Kauai Economic Opportunity's Emergency Shelter for women and families on 23 September, awarding US$10,000 to a Hawaiian nonprofit.

The money was awarded to Parents and Children Together, a 501c3 agency that improves the status of low-income women exposed to domestic violence by increasing safety for themselves and their children through court-ordered supervised visitation services in Kauai.

Paige Javier, the multi-systemic therapy supervisor for Parents and Children Together accepted the US$10,000 Weinberg Foundation check from Service Chair, MaBel Fujiuchi.
