Zonta Club of Leilehua partners with sustainable organization to provide plastic-free water cups at Race for the Cure

For almost 20 years, Zonta clubs on Oahu, Hawaii, in District 9 have supported the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure” by providing the only water station.

This year, the Zonta Club of Leilehua partnered with Plastic Free Hawai’i, a program of the Kokua Hawai’i Foundation. No plastic bottles of water and no plastic glasses were distributed. Instead, the members filled pitchers with water from a portable filtering system and then filled 3,000 compostable disposable cups.
