Zonta Club of the New Territories celebrates Rose Day by learning about sexual assault legislation

The Zonta Club of the New Territories, Hong Kong, celebrated Zonta Rose Day and International Women's Day by bringing awareness to sexual assault and legislation surrounding it.

Eric Cheung, a member of the Law Reform Committee and professor of law at Hong Kong University, shared with the club his views on “Sharing of Insights on Law Reform Commission Consultation – Sexual Offences involving Children and Persons with Mental Impairment.”

Cheung's address covered the proposed changes in legislation to tighten the safeguards against sexual abuse for children and the mentally challenged.

In honor of Rose Day, the club urged its members to donate to the Zonta International Foundation Rose Fund.
