Changing the world for women in the 2016-2018 biennium

The Zonta International 63rd Convention in Nice, France, finished Wednesday. More than 2,300 Zontians from all over the world met to elect new leaders and to decide about our action plans for the coming two years.

Empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy: This is our mission and this will continue to be our focus.

Every woman shall have a choice—a choice to get an education and to decide whom to marry and when. Every woman shall live a life free of violence.

This will be reflected in all our actions in the coming years. We will continue to be a leading advocate for women’s rights to ensure equality for all women. Our international service projects all reflect both service and advocacy aspects. All of them are supported by the national governments, which helps to ensure sustainability. In total, we will contribute with almost US$5.4 million to the empowerment of women. Not included in these numbers are all our fantastic local service projects.

Together we are changing the world for women!
