Zonta International celebrates 97 years of changing lives of women and girls

Zonta International was established on 8 November 1919. Early members were among the first generation of college-educated women, the first generation of North American women to vote, and a part of the growing, though still comparatively small, legion of women entering the workforce.

Today, 97 years later, Zonta is a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy with nearly 1,200 clubs and nearly 30,000 members in 66 countries.

Throughout its history, Zonta has provided more than US$31 million to empower women and expand their access to education, health care, economic opportunities and safe living conditions.

We are grateful to all of our members and supporters who have allowed Zonta to continue its life-changing work for nearly a century.

As we look forward to our 100th anniversary in 2019, we are proud to celebrate all of our achievements and we are eager to see what the future holds.
