Accelerating Action: Because girls can do anything
Women and girls around the world continue to prove every day that they can do anything — from winning international robotics competitions to leading innovation in STEM and beyond. Yet, despite their undeniable potential, too many girls still face systemic barriers that slow their progress and limit their opportunities.
At the current rate, it could take 134 years to reach full gender parity. That’s far too long.
This is why Zonta International is proud to be at the forefront of accelerating action for gender equality. Through our expanded partnership with UNICEF, we are supporting Laaha, a virtual safe space for women and girls to access information, community support and life-changing resources. Already active in Czechia, Ecuador, Iraq, Lebanon, Myanmar, Palestine, Poland, Slovakia, Türkiye, Ukraine and Venezuela, Laaha empowers girls to learn, ask questions, and connect to essential services — helping bridge the digital and knowledge gaps that hold many back.
Accelerating progress means investing in girls now — not in 134 years. Zonta remains dedicated to breaking down barriers and equipping girls with education and leadership, creating a world where every girl is free to succeed.
Because girls can do anything — and they shouldn’t have to wait.
