Announcement: Zonta Board Transition

After thoughtful consideration, International Director Unna Huh has made the decision to step down from the Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women Boards due to personal reasons. The Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women Boards are deeply grateful for Unna’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Zonta’s mission throughout her time on the boards. Her contributions have supported Zonta’s mission, and the International Boards extend their sincere thanks and best wishes for the future.

Per the Zonta International Bylaws Article VII, Section 2d, “A vacancy in the office of Zonta International director shall be filled from the nominees not elected for the term in question at the immediately preceding election in descending order of votes received.” The Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women Boards are, therefore, pleased to announce that Past District 25 Governor Errick Elavia will fill the vacant seat as the candidate for International Director with the next highest number of votes at the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane, Australia.

Errick brings valuable experience as a past district governor and international committee member, along with a strong passion for Zonta’s work. The Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women Boards look forward to the perspective, energy, and guidance he will bring to the boards.

“We sincerely thank Unna for her contributions and leadership during her tenure. Her commitment will continue to inspire us moving forward. At the same time, we warmly welcome Errick onboard and look forward to his insights and collaboration as we advance Zonta’s mission together,” says Salla Tuominen, President of Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women.

Please join the Zonta International and Zonta Foundation for Women Boards in thanking Unna for her exceptional service and in welcoming Errick to the team.
