On 29 November 2020, District 31 held a Zonta Gives Love to Taiwan's New Immigrants service activity in Chang-hua and invited participants to join their Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign.

Announcing the 2020-2022 Zonta Service Recognition Awardees

The Zonta International Service Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020-2022 Zonta Service Recognition Awards, which recognize outstanding service projects undertaken by Zonta clubs and districts/region which benefit women in the local community.

These service projects empower women and girls to achieve equal rights and to secure their access to all legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional resources or focus on the prevention of violence against women and girls.

The following three districts are recipients of the 2020-2022 Zonta Service Recognition Awards:

  • District 11: “Free the Girls Bra Drive”
  • District 17: “Zontians Rise to the COVID Threat”
  • District 31: “Zonta Gives Love to Taiwan’s New Immigrants & Cross Border Service”

The following six clubs are recipients of the 2020-2022 Zonta Service Recognition Awards:

  • Zonta Club of Bourgas, Bulgaria, District 30: “F for FEMALE, NOT for FEAR”
  • Zonta Club of Bunbury Inc, Australia, District 23: “Community Breast Cushion Day”
  • Zonta Club of Dhaka III, Bangladesh, District 25: “Shishu Bikash Kendra
  • Zonta Club of Mainz, Germany, District 28: “Home for Traumatized Refugee Women in Mainz, Germany”
  • Zonta Club of Newport Harbor, USA, District 9: “City and County Law Enforcement Soft Rooms”
  • Zonta e-Club of USA 2, USA and Mexico, District 10: “16 Days of Giving”

Congratulations to these clubs and districts for their exemplary service projects, which demonstrate the difference Zonta club members are making to the lives of women and girls in their local community.
