Remarkable Editor-In-Chief and environmental journalist shares her powerful story
Martina Igini is the editor-in-chief at Earth.Org, a global non-profit environmental news website where she is responsible for breaking news coverage, feature writing and editing, newsletter production and fundraising. She single-handedly manages a network of over 100 global contributing writers and oversees the editorial calendar. Since joining the newsroom in 2022, she has successfully grown the monthly audience from 600,000 to more than one million.
Having spoken at various climate and journalism conferences across Asia, Martina has been a guest on podcasts and radio shows, including South Korea’s KBS, Hong Kong’s RTHK and Italy’s RAI Radio 3.
Martina met with Lynne Foley OAM, host of the Remarkable Women, Powerful Stories podcast, to share how her life experiences as a global citizen have shown that no matter where you live, you are connected with the rest of humanity. She emphasizes how we can all relate to one another when covering the challenges and impact of climate justice and climate impact.
