Dr. Tanya Harrison began her career working on NASA Mars missions before moving into science leadership roles at Planet and Arizona State University’s NewSpace Initiative, and eventually into entrepreneurship. She blends mission-driven expertise with a commitment to connecting academia, industry and government to advance innovation in space science and technology.
A two-time recipient of Zonta International’s Amelia Earhart Fellowship, Tanya continues to pay forward that support by mentoring the next generation and advocating for a future where space exploration empowers humanity and advances women in the aerospace field. She holds a doctorate in geology with a specialization in planetary science and exploration from the University of Western Ontario.
Tanya met with Lynne Foley OAM, host of the Remarkable Women, Powerful Stories podcast, to share how her studies of Earth have drawn her closer to Mars. Now, as a science strategist, she teams up with top space industries to bridge the gap between our planet and the cosmos.
