The Zonta Club of Dhaka IV, Bangladesh, officially installed its 2026-2028 board during a formal ceremony on 17 June at the Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave Club in Dhaka.
Past and present leaders from District 25 attended the event. District 25 Governor Dr. Zareen Delawar administered the pledge to the club's newly elected officers and directors. Outgoing President Naheed Shaheen presented the presidential insignia to incoming President Dr. Sania B. Mahtab.
In her acceptance speech, Dr. Mahtab emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing opportunities for women and girls. The ceremony also featured a symbolic candle-lighting and cake-cutting ceremony to mark the beginning of the new biennium. The event concluded with members reaffirming their commitment to the principles and global advocacy mission of Zonta International.
In a separate initiative, the club recognized six students who successfully completed its Digital Literacy Program by presenting them with certificates of completion.
Through the program, participants gained hands-on experience in basic computer skills and digital literacy, helping equip them with practical knowledge to support future income-generating opportunities and greater economic independence.
