District 23 recognizes club members of  for their service

Eight longstanding members of the Zonta Club of Perth Northern Suburbs Inc, District 23, recently received awards from their community for their volunteer work.

The Department of Communities acknowledges significant efforts made by local volunteers through their Western Australia Volunteer Service Award program. The program specifically honors volunteers who have given at least 25 years of service.

An award ceremony was held on the 22 May by the Western Australia Government’s Department of Communities. 

In welcoming everyone, the Honorary Mick Murray MLA, Minister for Volunteering, spoke highly of the volunteers.

“It takes someone very special to give so many years of altruistic service, and the compassion, energy, and care that you have shown for 25 years or more is a testament to your kind spirit,” he said. “Today, I and the State of Western Australia say thank you for your continued devotion and assistance to the people, organizations, and causes that are close to your heart. You are exceptional role models whose selfless contributions truly make Western Australia the place that it is.”
