Despite the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder Co, USA, and PantherZ Z Club has worked on a number of community service projects. The club’s most recent project was a community education program to inform students, parents and friends about the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Members spent the last two months researching COVID-19, understanding the vaccine and community issues around it and putting together an hour-long virtual training and bilingual handouts to be sent around the community and posted via social media. Dr. Lizbeth Mendoza Renton, a Community Cultural Broker from the Boulder County Department of Public Health, joined the club as their "on-call expert" for the virtual training video.
