Zonta Club of Boulder County collects diapers and sanitary products

The Zonta Club of Boulder County, USA, built a better world for women and girls in their community with multiple actions.

Collecting diapers and sanitary products
The club teamed up with the Boulder High School Pantherz Z Club and the Flatirons Golden Z Club to set up a collection station at each entrance of the local Safeway and invited patrons to purchase diapers and feminine hygiene products for Boulder's Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA).

In addition to product donations, the clubs collected more than US $400 in cash donations, which they used to purchase additional diapers and sanitary products. In total, more than 340 pounds of items were delivered to EFAA. This service opportunity not only brings the clubs together but also supports women and children who need a little extra help.

The Zonta Club places high importance on community partnerships and is always happy to work with our high school and college-aged Zontians!

Zing for Zonta
The club planned and coordinated its Zing for Zonta: Boulder's Got Talent show to benefit its foundation. More than 20 Z and Golden Z club members showed their support by running a silent auction, checking in ticket holders, coordinating the talent and working together to ensure a successful event for the 225 attendees. It was a sold-out house.

The club invited Erica Sodos, a magician, to emcee the event as amateur performers donated their talents to raise more than US $30,000. The audience and the celebrity judges picked the Golden Rose winner amongst the eight performers. While the proceeds will help support the club, its student club, programs and service projects, the club plans to donate some to the Zonta Foundation for Women. This year's event was their most successful yet.
