Zonta Club of Dhaka IV celebrate International Day of Peace

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace 2022, the Zonta Club, Dhaka IV, Bangladesh, joined all peace-loving nations worldwide in taking the pledge to shed all differences and contribute to building a culture of peace. The day, declared by the UN as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, was celebrated to spread the message of peace, love and non-violence and help create a world of peaceful co-existence.

Banners were displayed with the 2022 theme, "End Racism, Build peace," and with messages of commitment and resolve to develop and nurture tolerance, suppress anger and hatred, and smile and make others smile.

In honor of the Day of Peace, members volunteered to entertain the listening audience, including Lieutenant Governor Zareen D. Hussain, with songs promoting peace and harmony, as they believe unity can be strengthened through music. To raise awareness and show their resolve to maintain peace and tranquility, Club members had peace symbols painted on their hands, helped by two eighth-grade students who are beneficiaries of the club's education project.
