Zonta Club of Fredericksburg celebrates local students' achievements

On 15 May, the Zonta Club of Fredericksburg, USA, held its annual Scholarship Banquet to celebrate 10 young women for their academic and personal achievements.

Some of the honorees, each extraordinary in every way, recently graduated from High School, with many being valedictorians, salutatorians and part of the National Honor Society (NHS). They plan to continue their education at universities, trade schools and community colleges.

Three recipients are now multi-year as 3rd and 4th-year students in Texas A&M University, Texas Tech and Tarleton State University. All of these young women are diverse in their studies ranging from Interior Design, Cosmetology and Entomology to Pediatric Nursing, Finance and Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy.

The club congratulates them on every stage of their educational and professional careers, and they can not wait to see what the future holds for them.

Each recipient was awarded a certificate, a yellow rose and a $1000 scholarship for continued education expenses.

The club would also like to thank its hostesses for the evening and its scholarship committee for filing through and reading every detail of the multitudes of applications resulting in picking the cream of the crop as its honorees.
