Zonta Club of Hong Kong celebrates Rose Day and more

The Zonta Club of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, celebrated its fellowship and members on Rose Day and more.

Rose Day celebration
The club's Rose Day celebration started with an opening speech from District Governor Ofelia "Lia" Bautista. They were the first club in Area 2 that Lia visited this biennium.

During the celebration, the club gave tribute to Zontian Pauline Ng in appreciation of her leadership and achievement in her government service, inspiring many women to follow her path. They also welcomed a new member, Patsy Leung-Pech.

"Save the Planet" event
In line with Zonta International's statement on climate change, the club's Z Club Committee hosted a "Save the Planet" event on 11 March at the Chinese University's Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change. The club's guest speaker was Dr. Rebecca Lee, the museum's founder.

Rebecca is the first Hong Kong woman explorer to reach the Arctic, Antarctic and Mount Everest region. She has been a polar researcher for more than 30 years.
