Zonta Club of Kauai's Denim Day Action

On 29 April, the Zonta Club of Kauai, USA, received Denim Day Proclamations from Mayor Derek Kawakami and Carrice Gardner, a governor's representative.

Denim Day takes place on the last Wednesday of April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This day of action and awareness is an event in which people are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim-blaming and educate others about sexual violence.

The club also received a special certificate from council members for their amazing work for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Denim Day. Councilmember Bernard Carvalho presented the certificate.

The club would like to give a big mahalo to all 12 Zonta members who made their fashion statement with jeans on all forms of against sexual against women, men and girls worldwide.
