Zonta Club of Kauai receives scholarship grant from Macy's Department Store

On 24 October, the Zonta Club of Kauai, USA, received a US$2,500 scholarship grant through Macy's Missions Every One, a program that strives to create a brighter and more sustainable future that empowers more voices, choices and ownership. It recognizes and rewards our diverse community of colleagues and partners to fuel mutual growth, innovation and impact and offers scholarships in several focus areas.

The club received the scholarship grant to support Macy's focus areas for youth:

1. Training, mentoring and learning programs.
2. Mental and emotional health and well-being.
3. Environmental stewardship.

Debbie Chuckas, a manager at Macy's, proudly presented the check to Darellyn Lemke, the Foundation Chair at Macy's Kukui Grove location. The club plans to award the scholarship to a young woman graduating from a local high school in 2023.
