Zonta Club of Isabela's radio program highlights Real Property Tax Amnesty

On 10 August, Zontian Attorney Jenny Flor T. Manantan-Cabaddu discussed the Real Property Tax Amnesty under the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) during a segment of Boses ng Zonta Isabela Kasama ang XFM Santiago.

The program, hosted by DJ Edmar, provided an informative overview of Republic Act No. 12001, also known as RPVARA. The national law, signed into effect on 5 July 2024, standardizes real property valuation across the Philippines and includes a tax amnesty program for property owners.

The amnesty offers relief by waiving penalties, surcharges and interests on unpaid real property taxes incurred before the law’s effectivity. Attorney Manantan-Cabaddu outlined key points for Isabela residents, including who may avail of the amnesty, its scope, the application process and the deadline for filing.

The discussion served as a vital public service announcement, ensuring residents are aware of their options to settle outstanding obligations.
