Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro I promotes mental health awareness

The Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro I, Philippines, hosted a forum on integrating mental wellness into classroom culture, featuring Dr. Jose L. Coruña, psychiatrist and mental health specialist at Northern Mindanao Medical Center.

Attended by 400 graduating students of Bulua National High School, the forum emphasized the importance of mental health as a vital aspect of overall well-being. Dr. Jose highlighted that mental wellness underpins individuals' ability to make decisions, build meaningful relationships and contribute to shaping a better society.

He further noted that mental health is a fundamental human right and a key driver of personal, community and socio-economic development.
