Zonta Club of Stanthorpe hosts first Yellow Dinner event since the start of the pandemic

The Zonta Club of Stanthorpe, Australia, held their annual Yellow Dinner Fundraiser on 20 March. US$2300 of the fundraising proceeds were forwarded to the Zonta International Foundation for Women and the rest of the donations were used to purchase birthing kits.

With over 100 attendees, the event was a great way for members to catch up with friends after their 2020 Yellow Dinner was cancelled due to COVID-19. The main speaker was Madison Birtchnell, 2018 Gold Coast Young Citizen of the Year, 2018 Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Awardee and 2021 semi-finalist for the Queensland Young Australian of the Year. Madison is currently working with the local government and hopes to one day work with the United Nations, where she can have the most impact and create social change. The club's District 22 Governor, Bridget Mather, was also in attendance.

The Zonta Club of Stanthorpe would like to thank everyone who attended for making the night such a success.
