Zonta Club of Greater Dhaka celebrates Zonta’s 101st birthday with 3,500 viewers

The Zonta Club of Greater Dhaka in Bangladesh celebrated Zonta International’s 101st birthday (8 November) on 11 November with more than 3,500 viewers through a webinar.

The event was arranged by Dr. Zareen Delawar Hussain, District 25 service committee chairman, and Dr. Simeen Akhtar, the club’s president, and featured Zonta International Board Director Fernanda Gallo Freschi as its guest of honor. District 25 Governor Errick Elavia was a special guest.

The panel of speakers included Dr. Reenu Yadav—principle, IITM Department of Pharmacy, IES University, and Mrs. India International 2019—and Sahara Basnet—a TedX speaker, co-founder of Asha and Miss Nepal Asia Pacific 2017. Both women are social influencers and work toward the empowerment of women and girls through their own platforms.

Zareen, the moderator, designed the webinar in a very innovative way by rotating interesting questions to different panelists, who took their individual views. This created a fascinating buzz resulting in:

• 1,000 live viewers on LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Google shows 3,000+ LinkedIn viewers and 579 YouTube viewers as of 13 November.

The theme of the webinar, “Spreading the essence of Zonta International” was achieved as there was engagement of such a large audience.
