Zonta Club of Ilocos Norte hosts women empowerment forum

The Zonta Club of Ilocos Norte, the Philippines, held a women empowerment forum with 60 women from the municipality of Marcos. Three Zontians spoke at the forum:

• Dr. EM Gagni spoke of emotional stability, coping and being a woman amidst the pandemic.
• Dra Geebee Ranada talked about responsible parenting.
• And Atty Pia Cua lectured on violence against women and children.

Being a woman in this day and age is a challenge with all the societal pressures. The club believes it is crucial to uplift women and support them in finding ways to free themselves from the shackles of a patriarchal society, allowing them to become the best versions of themselves.
