Zonta Club of Vantaa II raises funds selling handmade items online

While the Zonta Club of Vantaa II, Finland, does not have any professional artists, there are many aspiring artists. Thus, the club hosts arts-and-crafts sessions to create items and sell them to raise money.

Over the years, members have made candles, wrist-warmers, brooches, Easter eggs, dishcloths, home slippers, sugar flowers, reflecting tassels and more. They sold the items at a market stall.

They could no longer sell at the market stall due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but some innovative club members created an online store. Items are either picked up locally or mailed to the buyer.

The shop opened at the end of December and raised almost 800 euros (more than US$970) in just a few weeks.
