The CSW is the largest annual gathering on women’s rights worldwide, and is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women. The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Priority Theme: Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.

Speakers from Dharavi Diary will share the Story of Change. These speakers are first generation school and college attendees from lower income communities of India. They are learning experiential STEM and leadership skills aligned with the SDGs to break the cycle of poverty and make their community safe, healthy, hygienic and safe for girls and women.

The team will be joined by four Zonta members from around the world: Therese Hartwell (USA), Ann Margreth Hellberg (Sweden), Dilruba Ahmed (Bangladesh) and Zonta International Director Anne-Marie French Cudjoe (Ghana).

- Their experiences and answer your questions about why diversity and inclusion are important.
- The key obstacles that prevent us from achieving an inclusive club.
- Ideas about how you can go about improving the diversity in your club.

International Equal Pay Day

Globally, women on average, are paid about 20% less than men. Established by the Equal Pay International Coalition in 2019, International Equal Pay Day is dedicated to raising awareness about unequal pay to women, pushing to close the gender pay gap and calling for actions to achieve pay equity globally.
International Day of the Girl

Adolescent girls have the right to a safe, educated and healthy life, not only during these critical formative years, but also as they mature into women. The International Day of the Girl focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.
